Christian Bock is responsible for the exquisite selection of available wines. Since 2007 the formerly leading sommelier of the Park Hotel Weggis is manager of the hotel's own wine trade "Vinothek im Park".

Christian Bock is one of only three „Master Sommeliers“ in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. He is among the best of his trade. His career began with 24 years as a late-starter in the Stars Restaurant Alpenhof Murnau in his Bavarian homeland. Enthusiastic about the upscale restaurants and in particular from wine, followed years of wandering in various top restaurants in Germany, England, Switzerland and the luxury liner MS Europa.

As chief sommelier of the Park Hotel Weggis he was responsible for one of the most extensive wine list with 2,600 different wines in Switzerland.

Christian Bock is also winner of numerous prizes and awards:

* Winner of the Relais & Châteaux-Ambassador-Competition, Germany
* Sommelier of the year 2004 in the business magazine Bilanz, Switzerland
* Sommelier of the year 2005 in the restaurant and hotel guide for the Bertelsmann publishing house
* Winner of the Trophée Ruinart "Best sommelier of switzerland 2005/2006".
* Presentation of the "Sommelier verbandsgeprüft" by the German Wine Waiters Union as a result of past services rendered

After training at the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in London, Master Sommelier Hendrik Thoma inspired him to try this challenging examination to become Master Sommelier. He achieved "Advanced Sommelier" by the Court of Master Sommeliers, London and graduated with the "Master Sommelier" examination in 2009.
